The last seventeen

Added by Xwing328The last seventeen is a term used by few collectors to refer to the final seventeen figures in Kenner's vintage Star Wars: Return of the Jedi and The Power of the Force toy lines, produced in 1984 and 1985. At that time, well after the release of the final film of the original trilogy, consumer interest in the toy line was waning, and relatively few of these figures were produced compared to the main characters who had been popular figures for years in some markets. Others received cases packaged heavily with certain ones, and as such you may have seen regional variations such as Arizona getting a lot of Paploo, while in the midwest some fans found a lot of Amanaman. As a result, action figures from the last seventeen command higher prices from collectors than earlier figures. The final figure, Yak Face, was never released in carded form in the United States, although he was released internationally.
